We discovered long ago that no amount of signal processing can make up for an instrument which doesn't sound right; if you get it right at the source, the rest is easy.
Our experience with manufacturers has taught us one very important lesson: they always accept compromises! For many reasons, good designs are often lost in the production stage. Some ideas might prove to be too labor intensive; or perhaps their suppliers can't deliver and they must accept parts substitutions. All too often manufacturers don't understand how real musicians use their products on stage or in the studios. We offer servicing of all types of electrical and acoustical instruments including major repairs, restorations, and custom modifications. Our techniques range from time-honored to the very latest developments. We are trained in the use of traditional French Polish for finish touch up and restoration. We perform custom neck shaping and complete refretting for any guitars or basses. Our NEPTUNE tuning modification is available for electric, acoustic, classical and bass guitars. Acoustic guitars may benefit from brace shaving and top voicing as well as harmonically compensated bridge and proper action. We also offer the highest quality acoustic instrument pickups and electronics. For electric guitars and basses we offer shielding and magnetic rephasing for hum canceling and noise reduction as well as custom POWERPLANT Pickups, rewinding and installation.
